This is a great book for anyone who lives in, has visited, or knows anything about Portland Oregon. The characters are interesting, the plot is engaging, and while I was reading it, my cheeks started hurting from laughing so much (no, really). Many of the Portland "archetypes" are present, but all of the characters are likeable and sympathetic, even when their good intentions are wholly misguided (okay, so Andrew and Josephus are my favorite, so sue me). Seriously buy this, you'll like it!
I started this book and read 30 pages, then had it all packed for a trip and forgot it. I almost bought a kindle on vacation to finish it. I devoured this novel in 2 nights. I could not put it down. This book cracked me up. I have watched Portlandia and thought they were really close describing the Portland vibe, but this book is even better. As an animal lover, the dog stories were fantastic. Relationships were likeable and these characters whacko. I did'nt want the book to end. I want to know what happens to them next ??? I am waiting patiently for book 2 and hope Oprah gets hold of this one too. I am picturing Paul Rudd playing the part of Michael in the movie. Super book pick and is on my top list of all time favorites!
Very funny, great characters, chapter by chapter suspense, several story lines woven together skillfully, and coming together at the end--all kept me reading and waiting to see what happens! Looking for more from this author.
This is a great read - fast and compelling. It is hard to put down and fun - it will keep you laughing. The characters are people I'm sure all of us have known at one time or another and the descriptions of Portland are so vivid I feel like I know the city. Two thumbs up! I hope we will hear more from this author soon.

This book was so much fun! I was glued to it right up to the last line (which I loved!!) Guaranteed to put more than one smile on your face )
Bonus if you live in the Portland Area (although anyone would enjoy it!).

I really try not to leave negative reviews because I respect an authors' efforts...but I cannot seem to get through more than 4 pages of this book at a time. It is beyond boring.
